‘Auf Flügeln des Gesanges’

Having recently returned to Australia from Germany, new mum Ashleigh Maclaine performs Mendelssohn’s ‘Auf Flügeln des Gesanges’, in honour of her son’s birthplace and their time in Europe.
‘On Wings of Song’ is the second of six songs for voice and piano by Felix Mendelssohn, a setting of the poem of the same name by German Romantic poet Heinrich Heine.
