An Aria A Day #142

from Il Sogno
by Kristin Hevner

27th September, 2020

American singer and actor Zachary James performs ‘Regina’ from the Shakespearean comedy opera ‘Il Sogno’, the first opera he ever performed in. Zachary reprised the role of Oberon for a season in New York, before directing Opera Ithaca’s production of the work in 2015.

From his home in Pennsylvania, where he retreated to ‘make music just for the joy of it’, Zachary is joined by his dog Arthur Seymour Sullivan for this a cappella aria.
