An Aria A Day #150

‘O waly, waly’
Piano Narelle French

5th October, 2020

Singer, actor and model Thomas Chapman has worked in performance and creative roles throughout Queensland and internationally, including as the title role in a staged performance of Macbeth that toured Turkey, before making his operatic debut in Opera Queensland’s 2019 production of Tosca.

For An Aria A Day, Thomas performs the Scottish folk song, ‘The Water is Wide’, also called ‘O waly, waly’. The lyrics on which the song is partially based date back to the 1600s.
