by Richard Strauss

13th August, 2020

From his studio in Melbourne Adrian Tamburini sings ‘Wie schön ist doch die Musik’ (‘How beautiful is the music?’) from the closing moments of Strauss’ ‘Die schweigsame Frau’ (‘The Silent Woman’).

Sir Morosus, a retired naval captain, has the final word about love and beauty in the best known aria from the opera.
