Important information about Queensland Government Public Health and Social Measures
The wellbeing of all Opera Queensland visitors, artists and staff is our priority and with this in mind we encourage you to read through the following information about our health and safety measures prior to your visit.
Masks are not mandatory at Opera Queensland however, we strongly recommend you bring a mask with you to the theatre for use where physical distancing is not possible. Opera Queensland venues are operating at 100% capacity under Queensland Government health directives, please be aware there may be patrons occupying the seats directly beside, behind or in front of you during a performance.

What does this mean for ticketholders after 14 April 2022?
From 14 April 2022, you are no longer required to provide proof of your vaccination status to be able to enter an Opera Queensland performance
Observe physical distancing where possible when moving about in the foyers and public areas of the venue
Masks are not mandatory at Opera Queensland performances, however, we strongly recommend you bring a mask with you to the theatre for use where physical distancing is not possible

If you are feeling unwell
If you or any of your booking party are diagnosed with COVID-19, are required to self-isolate due to COVID-19 or exposure as a close contact, or have COVID symptoms you should not attend.

Download the Check In Qld App
For contact tracing purposes we are using the Check In Qld app and encourage you to download the app prior to attending Opera Queensland performances if you haven’t done so already.
We recommend adding your details and those of your guests before arriving at the venue. You can add extra guest details through the ‘Frequent Guests’ section accessed by the menu at the top left corner of the app. When you arrive at the venue, all you’ll be required to do is scan the unique QR Code for your theatre and show our staff you’ve checked in.
Hygiene
- Hand sanitiser is available in and around our venues
- We recommend presenting your ticket on your phone
- We disinfect seating and touchpoints before each performance
- We are employing increased cleaning of foyer spaces and handrails and bathrooms
