Production Manager

Do you have a background in stage, theatre, or event production and a passion for delivering high-quality productions?

Opera Queensland is seeking a Production Manager to contribute to the creation and delivery of our performance and events program across metro, regional and remote Queensland.

About the Role

Opera Queensland is an innovative arts organisation whose vision is to grow a community connected by the transformative power of opera.

The production team plays an important role in delivering the artistic vision of the organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Technical Production, the Production Manager is a new role that will provide production, project and/or event management support across activities ranging from live performance presentations, functions and events to outdoor presentations.

The Production Manager will collaborate with production and technical teams to deliver larger productions and be responsible for end-to-end delivery of all technical production and logistics for smaller productions.

PR & Communications Manager

Opera Queensland is seeking a PR & Communications Manager with exceptional copywriting skills to help position and profile the company and help drive its success.

The marketing team plays an important role in promoting the artistic vision of the organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Audience Development, the PR & Communications Manager is a new role for a highly creative wordsmith. The PR & Communications Manager will craft Opera Queensland’s written content and campaign messages across a broad range of company activities and manage PR and earned media opportunities to profile the company, its creatives and artists, productions, and programs.

About the role

Opera Queensland is seeking a Corporate Partnerships Manager to implement our sponsorship strategy and to work with potential and existing corporate partners. The role has oversight of a range of activities, including relationship management and assisting in the delivery of a suite of high-quality engagement events and unique hosting opportunities.

The Corporate Partnerships Manager works within the Opera Queensland Development team and reports to the Director of Development. The Development portfolio encompasses philanthropy, corporate partnerships (sponsorship) and the company’s suite of signature engagement events.

Occasional work on weekends and after hours will be necessary.

Current Auditions

Learning, Regional, and Community Open Auditions

Opera Queensland is seeking singers, pianists, teaching artists and workshop facilitators from throughout Queensland to audition for a range of Learning, Regional, and Community projects in 2022.

Auditions are open to emerging and established artists to deliver a range of programs.
