Biography
This is Angus’ first performance with Opera Queensland. He previously performed the lead role in the (world premiere) Australian musical Come Rain or Come Shine with Melbourne Theatre Company.
Angus grew up in Brisbane and was a member of vocal groups Voiceworks, Vocal Point and Livewire – before moving to Melbourne to study at the Victorian Collage of the Arts.
His other theatre credits include Cock (Melbourne Theatre Company), Much Ado About Nothing (In The Park Productions); Here, There, As We Mean To Go On, After All This, Venus in Furs (Elbow Room); 3 X Sisters, Spring Awakening, Platonov (Hayloft Project); King John (Eleventh Hour Theatre); A Man For All Seasons (Complete Works Theatre Company); Requiem for the 20th Century (Theatre @ Risk); The Cherry Orchard (Pieces of Work); and Legally Blonde, Mamma Mia! (Kyneton Theatre Company).
Angus was a series regular on the ABC drama series MDA. His other television credits include Big Reef, Carla Cometti, Dr Blake Mysteries, City Homicide, Rush, Howzat! Kerry Packer’s War, Stingers, Neighbours, Blue Heelers, Medivac, Flipper, and Space: Above and Beyond.
