Join thousands of music lovers from across Australia and around the world who make the annual pilgrimage to Western Queensland for a cultural experience like no other.

In 2027, we will have the rare privilege of seeing one of the world’s greatest living baritones, Sir Simon Keenlyside, performing alongside Opera Queensland artists, Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra, and singers and musicians from The University of Queensland School of Music.

The Festival of Outback Opera delivers a series of outdoor concerts and events in iconic locations. Experience serenades under stars, meet a performer at the pub, or join our joyous choir event, Sing Sing Sing.

Similar to previous festivals, we expect signature events like the Long Lunch and Opera Ball to sell out quickly. If you miss out, waitlists will be in place should spaces become available.
