Carla Beard is a Bachelor of Musical Theatre graduate from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU). They are passionate about new Australian work and are ecstatic to have been in three world premieres of Australian musicals including, Tiger and Dance Captain in Round the Twist the Musical (Queensland Theatre Company); Eileen Inyaface and Dance Captain in Lil Elvis Jones and the Truckstoppers the Musical (Mad About Theatre); and Banjo and Dance Captain in MILF the Musical (Madison Avenue Productions).

Carla received a Matilda Award nomination for Best Performance in a Supporting Role –  Independent Production for their portrayal of Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods (Ad Astra).

Other credits include Henry in Fractured Fairytales (RAVA Productions), Hannah in My Two Blankets (Shake & Stir Theatre Co), and featured artist in A Very Naughty Christmas (Woodward Productions). Whilst studying, they appeared as T-Bird Sonny and Dance Captain in Grease in both its QCGU and Queensland Performing Arts Centre runs, Mae Jones in Street Scene and Serena in Legally Blonde.
