Daniel Kramer

Biography

Daniel Kramer is a Sydney-based bass baritone who graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with a Master of Music Studies (Opera Performance) in 2024. From a young age Daniel performed with choirs, in musical theatre, and as a percussionist with several instrumental ensembles before beginning his journey into the world of opera in late 2020.  

His roles include Bartolo/Antonio (Le nozze di Figaro, Berlin Opera Academy), Masetto (Don Giovanni, Pacific Opera), Fiorello/Police Sergeant (Il barbiere di Siviglia, Pacific Opera), Frosch (Die Fledermaus, Pacific Opera), and Samuel (The Pirates of Penzance, Mosman Music Society.)  

In 2024, he premiered the roles of The Host in Oliver Cameron’s M.TH.R. and Pan in Aija Dragun’s In Cosmic Utero) both chamber operas in the “Words, Text, Voices, Music” composition program, a collaboration between the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and National Institute of Dramatic Arts.  

With many years of choral experience, Daniel has featured as an oratorio soloist in Mozart’s Requiem, Haydn’s The Creation, Mendelssohn’s Paulus and Elijah, Handel’s Messiah, Fauré’s Requiem, and more. Amongst contemporary work, Daniel has recorded with Trackdown Studios for advertising, game, and cinema scores, and spends most festive seasons carolling.
