Biography
Justin’s most recent screen appearances include The Newsreader (Season 3, ABC), The Last Anniversary (Binge), and The Narrow Road to the Deep North directed by Justin Kurzel for Amazon.
Other recent credits include Strife (Binge), The Messenger (ABC), Last Days of the Space Age and The Artful Dodger (Disney+), and Netflix’s hit reboot Heartbreak High.
Other television work includes Wentworth (Foxtel), RFDS (Seven), and both seasons of Foxtel’s Secret City alongside Anna Torv and Jacki Weaver. He also appeared in The Letdown (ABC/Netflix), Blue Murder: Killer Cop, The Other Guy (Stan), Deadline Gallipoli, Underbelly: Badness, The Straits and Bastard Boys, earning an AFI nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
Film credits include Carmen (Sony) starring Paul Mescal, Babyteeth, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (Disney), directed by Fred Schepisi, Around the Block, Sleeping Beauty, Burning Man, Being Venice and Angst.
On stage, Justin has recently appeared in Phar Lap (Hayes Theatre), Into the Woods (Belvoir), The Dismissal (Seymour Centre), Dubbo Championship Wrestling (Hayes Theatre) and Wudjang: Not the Past (Bangarra). Other theatre highlights include Billy Elliot the Musical, Small Mouth Sounds, Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam, The Long Forgotten Dream (STC), A Strategic Plan (Griffin), and Arcadia (STC). He has performed extensively with Belvoir, Bell Shakespeare, Griffin and the Sydney Theatre Company. Justin made his professional debut in Jesus Christ Superstar (1992) and originated roles in the Australian productions of Rent (1998) and Billy Elliot the Musical (2007).
