2026 Season
A season of fairytales awaits...
Opera Queensland invites you to experience a season of fairytales and wonder.
The joyful and humorous La Cenerentola (Cinderella) makes a spectacular return, after rave reviews in 2025. Hailed as “enchanting” (Limelight) and “a truly magical experience” (Stage Whispers), Rossini’s comic masterpiece, delights audiences for two nights only.
Brisbane Bel Canto Festival returns to celebrate the art of beautiful singing with a series of concerts and performances, including Petite Messe Solennelle, Birth of Bel Canto and Red Dirt Hymns.
Opera on the grandest scale arrives with Rusalka, Opera Queensland’s first production in the new Glasshouse Theatre. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid, Rusalka is a shimmering tale of love and transformation.
Making the perfect Christmas present for your loved ones, Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Tony Award‑winning musical Into the Woods closes our 2026 season with a bold new production directed by Patrick Nolan in the Glasshouse Theatre.
Five intimate Studio Series recitals will feature world-class artists, two exciting regional tours travel the state, and our beloved Festival of Outback Opera returns to Winton and Longreach, headlined by acclaimed tenor Filipe Manu.
Don’t miss a season of anticipated returns, reimagined classics, acclaimed performances, and breathtaking talent on stages across Queensland.
