From April 2024, we will embark on another epic adventure spanning over 20 locations across regional Queensland, with our new production Do We Need Another Hero? from the creative team behind Are You Lonesome Tonight and Lady Sings the Maroons.

Do We Need Another Hero? is a masterful fusion of the classical and the contemporary, seamlessly blending the grandeur of opera with chart-topping anthems that pay homage to heroes from every corner of our world. From the mythical valour of Hercules to the introspective depths of Hamlet, from the iconic Wonder Woman to the indomitable spirit of the working-class man, this production captures the essence of heroism.

As you immerse yourself in this musical journey, opera classics intermingle with timeless hits by The Beatles, David Bowie, John Farnham and more, providing the perfect soundtrack for our story as we search for what it means to be a hero. What we discover is that true heroes are not confined to comic books; they can be found in the lyrics and melodies that inspire us.
