Be serenaded at sunset, soaking up city views as you enjoy an evening of sublime opera at South Bank.
Taking over Riverside Green on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 March, Sunset Opera will host a stellar line up of performances by Opera Queensland’s finest, performing popular opera as well as giving you a sneak preview of our upcoming season. Featuring a baby grand piano on centre-stage and hosted by ABC Radio Brisbane presenter Loretta Ryan, make an evening of it and immerse yourself in the unique sounds of opera during the two 30-minute performance each night.
Headlining talent are Baritone Jason Barry-Smith and Soprano Mirusia, while supporting talent are Simon Kim (Tenor), Maia Andrews (OQ Young Artist Program, Soprano), Olivia Payne (OQ Young Artist Program, Mezzo-soprano) and Mark Connors (Pianist).
Gates open at 5pm, with performances at 6pm and 7pm. Pop up food stalls will be onsite along with a licensed bar to satisfy your appetite.
