Event Long Lunch FESTIVAL OF OUTBACK OPERA
Event Passed
Presented by Opera Queensland and supported by Qld Music Trails.
Great food is best enjoyed when served with sublime opera.
Head to the charming outback town of Winton to take a seat for a dining experience like you have never had before.
Share a meal with friends and other festival guests under the blue sky at the award-winning Waltzing Matilda Museum, celebrating the outback region and designed by our friends at Cox Architecture.
Opera Queensland’s very first Long Lunch will feature a specially designed Chef’s menu drawing upon produce from the region. Surrounding communities are supporting us in delivering this wonderful event, including students from the Big Red Truck Outback College of Hospitality.
Enjoy champagne and canapés on arrival and exclusive access to the museum. Then be seated for a three course meal paired with a selection of Angove fine wines and accompanied by a degustation of songs performed by some of the stars of the festival … you may even hear some poetry from Winton’s resident bush bard.
