Alex Raineri

Biography
Australian classical pianist Alex Raineri is internationally active as a recitalist, concerto soloist and chamber musician.
International performances include tours throughout California, South-East Asia, United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Germany and Austria.
The recipient of many awards including the Kerikeri International Piano Competition and Australian National Piano Award, Alex has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Radio NZ, California Capital Public Radio, ABC Classic FM and all of the Australian MBS Networks. As a concerto soloist he has featured with the Queensland, Tasmanian, Darwin and West Australian Symphony Orchestras, Orchestra Victoria, Bangalow Festival Orchestra and the Queensland Pops Orchestra.
Alex is the artistic director of the annual Brisbane Music Festival and pianist with the Southern Cross Soloists. Significant chamber partnerships include; Andreas Ottensamer, Natalie Clein, TwoSet Violin, Sara Macliver, Brett Dean, Kathryn Stott, and many more. He is a passionate exponent of contemporary music having commissioned over 50 new works and has performed over 100 World Premieres to date.
Alex Raineri will appear in recital with soprano Alexandra Flood on 17 & 18 September, and Shaun Brown and Sarah Crane as part of the Brisbane Music Festival in A Poet’s Love 26 & 27 November.
