Performance Opera Queensland Under the Stars

Ten principal artists, a mighty 60-strong Opera Queensland Chorus, the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and a choir of young singers from Yeronga State High School are gathering to celebrate 40 years of Opera Queensland and launch our 2021 season.
Hosted by Jason Barry-Smith, the evening features the beautiful voices of José Carbó, Eva Kong, Samuel Piper, Xenia Puskarz Thomas, Hayley Sugars, Sofia Troncoso and Kang Wang working with maestro Dane Lam to bring you some of the greatest music from our favourite operas.
Yeronga State High School students will perform Songs of Belonging, a song by Queensland composer Helen Franzmann created with students from by Yeronga State High School and Opera Queensland.
Artistic Director & CEO, Patrick Nolan, will reveal his program for the 2021 season throughout this very special event and Season 2021 subscriptions will be available to purchase online following the concert.

Please note that under the Covid Safe Plan for the Riverstage, tickets for Opera Queensland Under the Stars will only be sold in ‘bubbles’ for up to four patrons per bubble.
The seating bubbles for Opera Queensland Under the Stars are picnic-style on the grass. Patrons are not permitted to bring their own chairs but are encouraged to bring small picnic blankets and cushions for added comfort. View full conditions of entry here.
Each bubble sits up to four people and will be on sale via Ticketmaster for $50 per bubble (+ booking fee).
Please note before purchasing your tickets:

- Backpacks or bags larger than A4 size are not permitted.
- Food and drinks are available to purchase at the event – patrons are not permitted to bring their own food, drinks or alcohol.
